We Are Weak
Written at Saturday, August 31, 2013
Isn't it cool how Mother Nature always manages to take over?

I was just in the car and passed by a building in Toorak-
The metal fencing around one of the houses was overflowing with ivy.

And I thought,
wow,
it must've taken quite long for the ivy to have grown so thick:
and covering the entire fence...

But isn't that what nature has that we don't?

Time...

"Try to imagine a life without timekeeping.

You probably can't.
You know the month, the year, the day of the week.
There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car.
You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie.

Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored.
Birds are not late.
A dog does not check its watch.
Deer do not fret over passing birthdays.

Man alone measures time.
Man alone chimes the hour.
And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.

A fear of time running out."

 -Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper

Yeah and back to Mother Nature-
We can never beat her.
We die, to return to the earth.

Our factories and companies and schools and houses, once neglected, get overgrown by leaves.

Ah our frailty scares me
What makes man so powerful?
Why is man not the lesser species?

We are only powerful with the aid of weapons.
Yes, our ancient ancestors were skilled hunters- the best in the land- but what happened?
Look at Wall-E: the perfect portrayal of what will happen to humans.

Fat fat fat
Lazy
EUGH.

We kill nature to expand ourselves
But in fact we're slowly committing suicide.
WHERE ARE OUR BEAUTIFUL TREES THAT GIVE US OXYGEN

Slowly, slowly.
We're just fcuking ourselves up, man.
And we won't be missed
When Mother Nature overtakes us in the end.
