So today I was bloghopping on my JC friends' blogs, and I kinda realised:
I am so so lucky.

The common idea that they talk about is how much JC sucks.
30 pages of math homework,
2 essays,
PI?!
That's enough to fry an average kid's brain cells.

Especially Xueqi's blog, where she mentioned that each and every day of JC life comprises of studying like a no-lifer.
To be exact, she said that you need to study everyday; or risk being left behind.

After reading that I really felt coming to Australia was one of the better decisions I made in my life.
I don't think I can handle that sort of homework load, or that kind of torturous education-lifestyle.

Even in Trinity where the grass is green and the cows moo and the homework is manageable, I still am one of the lesser beings who don't revise and study constantly.

So how can I cope in JC?

They say that to survive JC you need to have a group of close friends who can encourage you to study hard and play hard.
But in that dog-eat-dog world, who's willing to really take time off homework and check up on friends?

Perhaps I'm misjudging JC.
I wouldn't know, I've never been there.
According to Giselle (Giselle! I will rescue you!), JC's actually pretty fun when you have friends to endure the tough lifestyle together.

So to any JC people who might be reading this:
NEVER FEAR! HOPE IS NEAR!
Even if you feel your world is crashing down with homework and projects and essays, you just need to text your good ol' friends from secondary school or your newfound friends in class to get a mood booster. :)
It's a win-win situation!

But I'd still like to say that Trinity... Is still better than JC. (^_^)
Even though it seems like hellishly like JC sometimes, I feel that it can't be that bad.
Giselle and Soph agreed that it's like a hardcore version of studying for O levels...

That's not so bad, isn't it?
I still have time to tweet, blog, upload photos, read my precious Imgur, and spend time chatting with my lovely Palmie buddies :)
I have to say, living with a group of people 24/7 is a really great way to know each other better.
You just don't know someone until you see his/her "pillow hairstyle" at the breakfast table.

So... In conclusion, I just want to show my appreciation to my parents for allowing me to have this wonderful chance to come to Australia, Palmerston and Trinity.
(sounds like a speech eh)
Perhaps if I was stuck in Singapore, I wouldn't have become so daring to voice my opinions and learn how to do things on my own.

Thank you dad and mom for being smart enough to get a good education to get good jobs to get good money to afford to send me here!
I really really really hope that their money doesn't go to waste.
That's one of the rare things that actually wake me up to go study :(

And so I will end this long, thought-provoking (i hope so!) post with some random updates and trainS of thought.

1. I did not go to see Ellen as planned (boohoo) because I was a PIG and didn't want to wake up! But apparently she gave out a lot of money, was really sweet to Portia and my friends got sunburnt from standing out in the 29 degree heat that fateful morning. Hm but they got doorgifts so...

2. Term 1 of school is overrr! Yeah babeh.

3. I will leave for Adelaide on Friday morning, and come back to find that 3/4 of Palmie has gone home to Sunny Singapore :(

4. I am planning to read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and watch the kdrama Goong in this two week holiday! pleaseletmeachievethis

5. Also I have bought a skateboard and am planning to learn how to be a sk8ergurl.

6. The sound of rain on tiled roofs is very comforting and reminds me of Harvest Moon.

7. LASTLY please anticipate a post on a vet faculty outing to Werribee and pictures of my skateboard!
